Drava Forester is a three-day tournament that will take place from Friday, October 31st, to Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, in Varaždin. This international disc golf tournament is organized by Lagoda Disc Golf and the travel agency Vall Tours with the support of the City of Varaždin.
The main partner of the tournament is the German disc golf apparel brand unicörn.
The tournament will be played over three days, with three rounds of 18 holes each.
This will be the 13th edition of the tournament, as Drava Forester has been held regularly since the first event in 2012. The most recent 12th edition in 2024 hosted 70 competitors from Austria, Finland, Croatia, Norway, Germany, the USA, Slovenia, Serbia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. For the 2025 edition, around 80 players from about ten countries are expected to participate.

Registration and Entry Fees
The competition will be held in the following divisions with the following participation conditions:

The number of participants is limited to 82.
The entry fee covers tournament organization, the Croatian Flying Disc Federation fee, and prizes for the best players.
The entry fee does not need to be paid before October 1st, 2025.

Exceptionally, if you do not pay the fee in advance, payment will be possible in cash at the tournament.

Results will be recorded in the PDGA live scorecard system.
Tournament Package
Players who wish so can choose a tournament package in one of two options: the full package for 180 € or the basic package for 75€.
Choosing a tournament package is not mandatory and players can opt to pay only the tournament fee.

Schedule
Drava Forester begins on Wednesday, October 29th, with player arrivals and a welcome dinner and ends on Sunday, November 2nd, with the winners' ceremony and an optional evening program.

Official Accommodation
The official accommodation for the 2024 tournament is at Hotel Park, Pansion Maltar, and Maltar Rooms (250m from Pansion Maltar).
All participants are encouraged to stay at Hotel Park, where some tournament side events will take place and from where transportation to the course will be organized (if needed). For the tournament, we have reserved all rooms in the hotel, ensuring that only disc golfers will be staying there (if all 20 rooms are booked by participants).
Players CANNOT book rooms in the official accommodation directly. Gameplay
The competition will follow this format:

Course
The course consists of 18 holes and combines open space along the Drava River with wooded areas. All tee pads are covered with artificial turf, and the baskets are new Disc Golf Park baskets (2022 model).

Additional Information
Communication with Participants
A WhatsApp group will be created for participant communication, and a link to join will be sent via email.
Joining the WhatsApp group is not mandatory, but during the tournament, all announcements (schedule changes, groupings for Rounds 1, 2, and 3, etc.) will be made exclusively through this group.
Through this group, participants can notify organizers if they are running late for the players’ meeting, complete mandatory check-in, report lost or found items on the course, etc.
Weather
You can check the weather forecast for Varaždin on Yr.no. In case of bad weather, you can also follow the lightning radar or the precipitation radar.
Since part of the course is located in an old forest, if strong winds (over 10 m/s) are forecasted, there is a possibility that, for safety reasons, a modified course layout will be used, with holes only in the open areas.
Parking
If arriving by car, you can park at the Arena Varaždin parking lot. Parking is free.
Restrooms
The tournament center is located inside Arena Varaždin, where restrooms are available in at least two locations.
Photos
All photos taken during the tournament will be uploaded daily to a Google Photos Album, where participants can download and use them for social media.
