Official Accommodation Option

Since its second edition, we have been offering participants the option to book official accommodation, which has become a favorite among disc golfers, creating a strong sense of community and even a family-like atmosphere at the tournament.

In recent years, about 15 participants have stayed in the more luxurious Park Boutique Hotel, while around 20 participants have opted for the more budget-friendly Pansion and Rooms Maltar.

A Fun Disc Golf Course

The course offers a unique experience with 18 carefully designed holes, combining long and short fairways, with strategically placed tees and baskets to challenge experienced players while still being beginner-friendly.

This course has a rich history, having hosted the 2022 WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championship, as well as the 2023 Euro Tour Pro Forester event featuring Paul McBeth. Tournament participants will have the opportunity to play on several of the same holes where McBeth and other disc golf stars competed in 2022.

The Tournament

Drava Forester is played as a PDGA Tier C event. The tournament does not offer cash prizes, nor does it feature all AM/Pro and age-based divisions.

Our guiding principle in organizing this tournament is to provide players with an unforgettable disc golf experience, where additional activities are just as important as the game itself. Instead of focusing on cash payouts, as is common in the USA and many other countries with a more developed disc golf scene, our goal is to create a competition that encourages participation for the pure love of the sport, personal enjoyment, or PDGA rating improvement.

To reduce competitive pressure and allow for a more relaxed atmosphere, we emphasize camaraderie and enjoyment of the game. We believe this fosters better conditions for the growth of the sport and player connections.

Tournament Divisions

  • MPO (Mixed Open category)
  • FPO (Women's Open category)
  • Gold – a category for both genders designed for participants who wish (or are able) to play only Round 2 (Saturday) and Round 3 (Sunday)
