Ringin' RakiChains is a tournament that will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Murska Sobota (Slovenia) at the Park Rakičan course as the second of three stations of the Triple Bogey Tour 2024. The competition will take place over three rounds of 13 holes each.
The tournament is organized by Lagoda Disc Golf with the help of the local organizer Disc Golf Club Pomurje. This year's tournament will be the third edition of Ringin' RakiChains, which was first played in 2022 with the participation of 71 players from Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Serbia. At the second tournament in 2023, 52 competitors participated.
All three rounds of the Triple Bogey Tour 2024 are played in PDGA color categories that are open to both genders: Purple (rating up to 800), Green (rating up to 850), Red (rating up to 900), and the Gold category (for all other players).
More information about the tour and the scoring for the overall ranking can be found on the Triple Bogey Tour webpage. You can also find the current standings table on this page.
A player who was eligible to participate in a certain category in the first round of the tour (e.g., someone with a rating of 846 eligible for Green) can participate in that same category in all three stations of the tour, even if their rating surpasses the category limit in the meantime.
Additionally, any player can play in a higher category by rating if they choose so (e.g., someone with a rating of 730 can play in Purple, but also in any other category, while a player with a rating of 870 cannot play in Purple or Green).
Players who are not PDGA members and do not have a rating can play in the Purple category only if they have not played PDGA tournaments before, or if they have played PDGA tournaments and their last 6 rounds have an average rating of no more than 800 points. If those rounds are worth more than 800, they can play in the Green, Red, or MPO / FPO category. A player who does not have a rating, but their last 6 rounds are worth more than 850 points, cannot play in the Green category but can play in the Red or MPO / FPO category.

Concept of play
The competition will be held in the following format:
Round 1 - groups will be formed with mixed categories and strength groups determined according to PDGA ratings. We will try to avoid placing players from the same clubs/countries in the same groups in the first round so that they can socialize with players they do not see regularly.
Round 2 and Round 3 - groups formed based on results, without mixing categories
Course
The layout for the tournament is set up on the permanent disc golf course at Park Rakičan Disc Golf, with some additional baskets and certain changes.
The baskets used on all holes will be Prodigy T2.
The tees will mostly be covered with artificial turf, while a smaller number of tees may only be marked on the ground (details will be available later).

Additional Activities
Ace Pool
All players who wish to participate can pay €1 in cash, which is placed in a special fund. From previous Lagoda tournaments, there is €56 in the Ace Pool fund.
A player who hits an ace during the tournament will win the entire Ace Pool prize. If two or more players hit an ace during the same tournament, they will share the Ace Pool. If no player hits an ace, the Ace Pool carries over to the next Lagoda tournament, and so on, until the Ace Pool is won at a tournament.
A player who wants to participate in the Ace Pool must pay €1 before the start of the first round. If a player hits an ace but did not pay into the Ace Pool before the start of the first round, they are not eligible for the prize.
CTP – Closest to the Pin
On one hole, we will organize an additional competition for "who throws the disc closest to the basket". This will take place during play in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds. There will be a meter next to the basket pole, and the player whose disc comes to rest near the basket can measure the distance from the pole to the disc. The player with the shortest distance after the third round of competition will win a prize.
For the result to be valid, the disc must be within 5 meters of the basket, and a photo showing the distance on the meter must be sent to the official tournament WhatsApp group.
Overachiever
A prize is awarded to the player who plays the tournament with the highest average above their rating (according to the current ratings on the PDGA website). All tournament participants who have a PDGA number and active membership, and have at least 20 rounds in their rating, are eligible for this competition.
