Terra Malvasia Trophy 2025

Terra Malvasia Trophy is a one-day tournament that will be played on April 12, 2025, in Bartići, near Labin. The tournament is organized by Lagoda Disc Golf in partnership with the Atlas Rabac travel agency and Juričić Winery.

This tournament follows the "light" model, meaning it will not include the usual additional content found at Lagoda events, but it will feature only the Ace Pool game.

The tournament director on site will be Val Martic, with remote support from Dinko Šimenc.

This will be the 2nd edition of the tournament. At the first tournament, 24 players from Croatia and Slovenia participated.

Registration
The competition will be held in the following categories:
 • MPO (open for male and female players)
 • FPO (women's open)
 • Red (players of both genders with a PDGA rating up to 900)
 • Green (players of both genders with a PDGA rating up to 850)
 • Purple (players of both genders with a PDGA rating up to 800).

Junior categories will be opened based on participant registrations.

The number of participants is limited to 45, meaning the competition will be played in a maximum of 9 groups of 5 players each.
The entry fee for all categories is 15 €.
The entry fee for junior categories is free of charge.

The entry fee includes tournament organization, a fee to use the course, a fee for the Croatian Flying Disc Association, and smaller prizes for the winners in each category.

Players who are not PDGA members and do not have a rating can play in the Purple category only if they have never played PDGA tournaments before, or if they have played PDGA tournaments and their last 6 rounds (or fewer if they have played less than 6 rounds) have an average rating of no more than 800. If their rounds exceed 800, they can play in the Green, Red, or MPO/FPO categories. A player without a rating whose last 6 rounds (or fewer) exceed 850 rating points cannot play in the Green category but can participate in the Red or MPO/FPO categories.

The entry fee should be paid to the bank account before the tournament:
Lagoda j.d.o.o., Varaždin, HR6323400091110550349
If the fee is not paid in advance, cash payment will be possible on-site at the tournament.

Communication with participants
All registered participants will be contacted via email before the tournament with essential information and updates.
For communication during the tournament, a WhatsApp group will be created where updates will be posted, and participants can interact (e.g., organize training rounds, dinner outings, etc.).

Food
No meals will be provided, and participants are responsible for arranging their own food (e.g., sandwiches). A café within the winery will be available for drinks.

Game format
The competition will follow this format:
Round 1 - Groups will be formed with mixed categories and skill levels based on PDGA ratings. We will try to ensure that players from the same clubs/countries are not placed in the same group in Round 1, allowing them to meet new players.
Round 2 - Groups will be formed based on results, with separated categories.

Course
The course consists of 9 easier, mostly open holes, making it beginner-friendly. In each round, the same 9 holes will be played twice.
A course map can be downloaded in PDF format on this page.

Baskets used are Disc Golf Park targets (2018 model).
Tee pads are covered with artificial turf.

Parking
Parking is available next to Juričić Winery.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located at Juričić Winery, 200m from the course.

Weather
Weather forecasts for Labin can be checked on Yr.no. In case of bad weather, you can also track the lightning radar or the precipitation radar.

Ace Pool game
All players who wish to participate can pay €1 in cash, which is placed in a special collection box.
A player who hits an ace during the tournament wins the entire Ace Pool prize. If two or more players hit an ace in the same tournament, they share the Ace Pool. If no players hit an ace, the Ace Pool rolls over to the next Lagoda tournament until it is eventually won.
Players must pay the €1 fee before the start of Round 1 to be eligible for the Ace Pool. If a player hits an ace but has not paid before the first round, they are not entitled to the prize.
The Ace Pool fund accumulates across all Lagoda tournaments until an ace is hit. As of February 10, 2025, the Ace Pool stands at a maximum of €100.
