Chasing Sparrows is a one-day PDGA Tier C tournament that takes place on Sunday February 13th 2022 in Varaždin, in the format of two 18-hole rounds. The event is fully beginner friendly as holes are rather short, there is almost no bushes and places to lose a disc, and in each round you will play the same 9 holes twice.
Registration fee for the tournament in the categories MPO, FPO and Green is 75 kn / ~ 10 €, and in the Purple category 35 kn / ~ 5 €. Registration includes the organization of the competition, fee to the Croatian Flying Disc Federation and prizes for the first three players in MPO, FPO and Green, and a prize for the winner in the Purple category.

Players from abroad, in order to avoid paying bank fees, can pay the registration fee in cash on site.

The tournament program is as follows:
Sunday 13.2.
9:00 mee tup at the course, training
10:00 Players meeting, tee 1
10:30 start of the Round 1 (expected duration is about 90 minutes)
- 90 minute break (time to head for the lunch, toilet, etc. in one of the restaurants)
14:15 start of the Round 2 (or a little later, ie 90 minutes after the end of the play in the 1st round)
- Winners ceremony (around 16)

The competition is held in four categories MPO (men), FPO (women), Green (men and women PDGA ratted up to 850) and Purple (men and women PDGA rated up to 800 or without rating).
Each player can choose to participate in a higher category (eg players with a rating below 800 can play in Purple, Green or MPO / FPO), but cannot play in a lower category (eg a player with a rating above 800 cannot play in Purple).
The number of players is limited to 45 players.

Course
The course of 9 holes is arranged on the location along Vodovodna Street, and in each round all 9 holes will be played twice. The course is suitable for beginners and the holes are 45 to 65 meters long, but technical.

There are no facilities at the course, so for toilet, water etc. you need to use one of the nearby bars, restaurants or a shopping mall.
This layout has been played in 3 tournaments so far (Black Cats, Chasing Sparrows and Chasing Crows), and the current field records are for men 41 (-13, rating 999) by Aleksandar Sudžuković, and for women Tina Milenković 45 (- 9, rating 930).
