Spancirfest Spancirfest Spancirfest

The team consists of four players, and the condition is that the average PDGA rating of all team members must not be higher than 888, or the sum of their PDGA ratings can be at most 3,552.
The game itself is played in a way that only one team member performs each individual throw (for example, one throws from the tee, the second continues, followed by the third and fourth putting), and in order for team members to participate evenly in the game, additional rules have been set according to which each player must throw the initial throw on 3 holes, and as long as all players on one hole have not made one throw each, no one can throw twice (rules are explained below on the page).
This concept of group disc golf play is similar to usual disc golf doubles (with 4 instead of 2 participants). This concept has been played as an side event within the Drava Forester tournament since 2017, and it always attracts great interest from participants.
Playing in the Lagoda Team Game concept brings a tactical challenge for teams as they need to make a plan, see which team member will perform the initial throw best on which holes, or how to organize the game on each individual hole after the initial throw has been made.

Course

The competition will take place on a 12-hole course that will be arranged in the Drava Forester area, in the forest and on the embankment near the Arena Varaždin hall.
The holes will mostly be longer par 4, but in addition to them, there will be one to two par 3 and one to two par 5 holes on the course.
The baskets used on all holes will be Disc golf park targets.
The tees will be arranged with artificial turf carpet.
The course plan in PDF format will be available on this page no later than the beginning of August.

Registration and Rules

The tournament will involve teams of 4 players, and it will be played in one category. The average PDGA rating of all four players must not be higher than 888, or the sum of PDGA ratings can be at most 3,552.
If a player without a rating played tournaments in 2023 or 2024, and the rating of their last 9 rounds is higher than 888, then that value is taken as their rating.
In case the player hasn't played PDGA tournaments, then a rating value of 888 is taken as their rating.
The rating of team members on the day of registration is taken as a measure. In case the overall rating of the team members, which does not exceed 3,552, increases after registration, the team will still be able to participate in the tournament.

The entry fee for the tournament is €80 per team (€20 per player) and is paid to the account of Lagoda j.d.o.o. before the event, covering the organization of the tournament, the fee to the Croatian Flying Disc Association, and prizes for the top three teams.

Teams register under the name of the team chosen by the team members, and in the note, it is necessary to list the members of the team and their PDGA numbers.
Registration is limited to 36 teams.
List of registered teams will be updated at the PDGA event page.
Scoring will be done through the PDGA live platform.

To register for participation, open the registration page.

The participation fee must be paid to the bank account before the tournament:
Lagoda j.d.o.o., Varaždin, HR6323400091110550349
If you do not pay the fee in advance, payment will be possible in cash at the tournament with a surcharge of €10, i.e., the cash registration fee at the tournament is €90.

Game Rules
The competition is played according to special rules similar to how the Lagoda Team Game is played within the Drava Forester tournament since 2017.

The Team Consists of 4 Members
Each team member must make an initial throw on 3 holes.
The team itself chooses which player will make the initial throw on which hole, and the same player may make the initial throw, for example, on three consecutive holes.
After the initial throw, the game on that hole continues with the other team members until all have made one throw each. After that, any team member can make their second throw. If the game continues, then the other team members make their second throws. If everyone has made two throws and the disc is not in the basket, then the third throws start, etc.
The game on the hole is finished when the team hits the basket.

Results will be written online (PDGA live or Disc Golf Metrix), but each team will also receive a paper table through which they will keep track of which members made the throws for both teams and ensure that the game is played according to the established rules.
